This movies suffers greatest from its not being able to decide whether it's a western drama, or a silly overlit trivial 60s comedy like the lighthearted james garner and don knotts westerns of the mid-late 60s.
As a result, it wasted its dramatic potential to be like RIDE THE HIGH COUNTRY, but updated. Pity. The characters, as a result, are unbelievably naive for such life-experienced men and women of the world.
