Some of y'all need to get over yourselves, seriously. Anthony Bourdain (sp) did have a good show. (RIP). And maybe Chef Ramsay was inspired to do something similar. But he didn't steal it from him...he didn't OWN the concept, so, so what!?
The chefs he meets in each episode could have turned down the opportunities but they didn't. Many of them poke jabs at him that they get to boss him around, etc. It's light hearted and if he doesn't win the locals...he takes it gracefully. And of course many of it is some-what staged when he's attempted dangerous quests, he's a celebrity; the main character... And if he shot a goat on tv to eat...so what?! We definitely watch more horrendous stuff on tv...ever seen an episode of American Horror Story? Game of Thrones? Etc. So many Karens on here.
I love it because he takes their traditional ways and cooks it the same way. He doesn't take it back to a kitchen. I love it because if he doesn't like what he's tasting...he doesn't hide it. I mean blows into the lungs of a seal for crying out loud. How many of you would do that?
Many kudos to you Mr Ramsay, I hope there are many more seasons. Maybe future seasons you can bring some of family along!! (Or other guest chefs!)
