With H & I running the series in 2020, I took the opportunity to revisit the series. I had casually watched it as a boy but no strong recollections of episodes. The movie is one of my favorites but the tv series dropped its bombs short.
First season episodes were solid with the premise of maximum effort and the toll it takes still relevant. Cast changes in second season weakened the series overall. The the scripts started getting a bit soap operaish and no longer true to the original premise.
Late second / 3rd seasons were weak. I guess it was an attempt to gain viewers that the scripts took to many liberties with realities. Series finished with a couple of relatively strong episodes.
Overall I appreciated the series and glad I watched it in sequence!
