Although at some point in the film (possibly the ending), you will be disappointed by the outcome, the trip, and not the destination is the key to this film. Lloyd Bridges (alias Mike Nelson from Sea Hunt) does a nice job in the lead, and the rest of the cast of unknowns do their best as well. Mike is returning from WW2 to his old British flame and nothing seems out of the ordinary until Mike digs a bit deeper into the time they were apart. I will not spoil the developments for you, but they are interesting, since the film starts with Mike deplaning with a stranger whom he asks for a light at the departure gate. Then the stranger is shot by a sniper. That is the beginning of an interesting trip home. Worth viewing.
