When I saw that Netflix offered both 2021 films, I plunged right in not knowing what to expect from a manga series. Well, it turned out to be a great investment in mini binge watching. Then I went back to see the first three films to get full closure on the series. Forget the summer movies at the theatre -- too PC, too woke, yawn, boring, bad action, bad CGI, hero clowns running around in yoga pants fighting bad guys. This review is for the entire Kenshin series. In a nutshell, I absolutely love it! The action across all 5 films is exceptional, the fighting choreography particularly the sword play is top notch, the main character is likable and convincing, there are hints of romance - just enough to keep it interesting, all the villains are bad asses, and the supporting cast of characters is terrific. It's a very entertaining series, so get the popcorn ready and enjoy it for what it is - an action-romance flick.
TL:DR - No wokeness, just plain awesomeness. Be entertained and enjoy.
