Warning: Spoilers
It's with mixed feelings that we begin this last season, both happy to see the outcome, but disappointed to have to say goodbye to a series that made us experience so much emotion. Joan's visions portend a bleak future for the three officers, and it seems unlikely that they will all survive until the tenth episode. Dr. Miller's story takes a strange turn. I understand that he doesn't want others to learn about his mistake, but it seems a little extreme to me trying to regulate the urges of a psychopath. I have to say it feels good to see Judy less, but the fact remains that I can't wait for her to pay and Allie to remember the real culprit. Speaking of Novak, her scenes are painful to watch, as the dramas in her life keep piling up. I love Boomer, but the Top Dog leadership has plummeted since Bea. Despite the spoilers leaked before the episode and my knowledge of Reb's death, it still moved me. I loved the couple Lou and Reb were, but I understand that his death was necessary so that we could see all of Kelly's anger and strength. Marie underestimated Sheila since the latter understands that Reb's death is more painful for Lou than anything else. I can't wait to see Kate Box's acting in future episodes. I also liked the scene where Marie leans on Ferguson as Sheila signals her that the murder has been committed, as if we are being shown that Marie is joining the psychopath's side.
