I actually am old enough to remember the show...at least the color versions.

I was talking to my wife about a cartoon show I remembered when I was a kid...a Saturday morning cartoon starring cereal mascots. Well, imagine my surprise when I found the show on YouTube!

"Linus the Lionhearted" was a cartoon that consisted of four short cartoons and Linus playing the emcee. The quality of the animation looks a lot like the old Jay Ward products...though this one was made by Ed Graham Productions. In other words, the animation style, repetitive backgrounds and cel count are not great. The cartoon's stories are okay....nothing great but the sort of stuff kids liked back in the day....and they did have a decent sense of humor to them. But what is great about these cartoons are the amazing voice talent, including the likes of Sheldon Leonard, Carl Reiner, Ruth Buzzi and even Gerry Mathers! Overall, modestly enjoyable and worth seeing for nostalgia's sake.

By the way, in this very politically correct era, I should mention that of the four characters, one is a VERY stereotypical Chinese boy....which is sure to offend. He was, back then, the mascot for Sugar Krinkles cereal.
