Hello I'm going to review the Spongebob special, "The Clash of Triton." This special is about King Neptune being sad that his son Triton, didn't come to his birthday. When it was entirely Neptune's fault. I'm going to talk negatively about this episode. It's definitely not the worst Spongebob episode or even special, "Spongebob You're Fired is worse." But its a mostly bad Spongebob episode.
The first minutes were just fine. Just regular Krusty Krab antics, but I at least found Spongebob funny there. When Neptune and the Royal family came to the Krusty Krab, the king was sad that his son was not on his birthday. I could feel sorry for him; but then we heard his backstory. His son Triton wanted to be like regular underwater folk. As a teenager, Triton created a medicine that cures all diseases. But Neptune was displeased with his son, he even locked his son up in a cage and on an island. For just wanting to be like mortals.
The second part of this episode is Spongebob getting Triton out of imprisonment. When Triton's out, and he is in Bikini Bottom. Triton understandably locks his father, as well as the rest of the Royal family to a cage. Triton then goes on a rampage destroying countless buildings in the process. When Neptune is out he was happy that Triton was acting like a God.
The main reason why this episode is bad is because the plot sucked. It was entirely King Neptune's fault that Triton was not in his party. The episode is also not really funny or interesting. Just about Spongebob getting Triton out. The positive aspects about this episode is that Spongebob is at least likable, and can be funny. Also this episode didn't make me mad at how bad it is, it felt more boring. So my overall score for this episode is a 3/10.
