Review of Ezra

Ezra (2017)
5/10
Extremely slow and mostly illogical

The movie is painstakingly slow, so much so it's faster to watch paint dry. Most of the times the characters are walking in slow motion, staring for minutes at each other, but nothing eventually happens. There lead actress Priya spends all the time pouting her lips imitating Angelina Jolie, shopping, and walking around with a vacant look in her eyes trying to appear possessed. The story is unoriginal (heavily borrowed from "The Possession (2012)") and stupid; Priya goes shopping for antique furniture (did I mention shopping before) and brings back ...wait for it...a demonic box. Don't ask me why anyone would consider a box as furniture.

While it's a better effort than garbage like Bhaagamathie, with a 2 hr 27 min runtime, the movie is an hour too long and boring.
