Review of Pachamama

Pachamama (2018)

For kids... by kids?

Warning: Spoilers
This movie is a coming of age history about two simple minded kids looking out for their home. The plot was good at the beggining but predictability made it a bit tedious. However, when the movie gets to a halfpoint it becomes a completely different beast. Not only do the Conquerors arrive out of nowhere, but somehow they are able to completely destroy the Inca Empire by themselves while screaming GOLD but they can only be stopped by a deity also coming out of nowhere. As a peruvian myself, I studied how the Conquerors acted and they were not as cartoony as this movie portrays them. The movie has a good pacing until everything rushes to the final act and while I enjoyed my time with it, it's not as good or "realistic" as many reviewers say.
