Review of Pilot

The teen years/flashbacks are part The Terror's Season One (group stranded in the frozen wilderness leads to violent conflicts and inhumane or bizarre acts like cannibalism) and part Dare Me's Season One (rivalries, betrayals, jealousy, competitiveness in a small town and secrecy surrounding a murder). The teen characters and their adult counterparts are all standalone interesting characters (rare these days in shows) and the teen characters have great chemistry. The adult characters are played by seasoned actresses who did a great job out the gate, Christina Ricci being my favorite. There's some subtle agenda-pushing but it doesn't dominate or ruin the show. I'm excited to see what comes next.
