Double Walker (2021)
2/10
Incredibly slow paced and pointless crime mystery...
15 November 2021
Wow, this movie was a swing and a miss.

Sure, when I stumbled upon the 2021 crime mystery titled "Double Walker", I must admit that the movie's cover/poster and its synopsis definitely had some appeal. I hadn't heard about "Double Walker" from writers Sylvie Mix and Colin West prior to sitting down to watch it. So I wasn't really sure what I was in for here. But the movie's synopsis and cover definitely had captured my interest.

But the narrative in "Double Walker" was insanely slow. And nothing interesting or worthwhile ever happened, so it was just feeling like director Colin West was prolonging the suffering that the audience was being dragged through. I kid you not, this movie was insanely slow paced and uneventful. In fact, it was so boring that I managed to suffer through 40 minutes of the ordeal, and then I just gave up out of sheer and utter boredom with just 30 minutes left. And let me just be the first to tell you that I am not returning to watch the rest of "Double Walker". It just isn't worth the effort.

The acting performances in the movie were adequate, I am sure of it. But it was hard to really get a clue here, because the actors and actresses virtually had nothing to work with in terms of an interesting script and storyline, properly fleshed out characters or compelling dialogue. I didn't care one ounce about the storyline, because it was so slow and pointless. And with no storyline to submerge myself into, then I just couldn't take a liking to the characters, especially so since they were all flatlining and bland.

Sadly, the movie's cover/poster was actually the best thing about the entire ordeal.

My rating of "Double Walker" lands on a generous two out of ten stars. The production value is what salvages the movie and rescues it from a landing a flat bottom-scraping one star.
