The great thing about Curb your enthusiasm is how the situations Larry gets himself in are things many of us could imagine happening to us. It does take to much of a leap of fate. This episode is the first where that doesn't work. The show is moving towards more of an unlikeable protagonist with unrealistic/unbelievable situations. The part that was bad here was everything to do with the bad right ear. The toilet made a noise so bad it hurt Larry's ear. The sound was completely ridiculous, I've never heard such a sounds. The last conversation with Richard Lewis takes the cake though. Larry David makes a phonecall to help Cha Cha get her job back even though he believes he isn't in the wrong. For some inexplicable reason Lewis wants Larry to make a phonecall with his right ear and he just goes along with it and he pays the consequences. The rest of the episode was good but this is sadly a sign of things to come.
