A few good moments are buried in an endlessly long movie which moves at a snail's pace and spends a lot of time showing absolutely nothing happening. Good performances by the cast, and a realistic story which shows the villains (who only appear at a distance until the very end) for who they really were. But it makes a police procedural like Dragnet look like a James Bond movie by comparison.
