Oh the fun they had...

I came for the obvious appeal of the title. Was expecting it to not to live up to it and cringeworthy wokeness but was genuinely suprised and entertained.

Look, the casting is a little woke and the guys don't fare too great but given how extreme some productions are today in demonizing certain people, its fairly evenhanded.

Not all the humour hits the mark and some lines feel abit amateur, especially the parents in the beginning but when it does fire, it's very funny.

Thought it was very well put together and was genuinely suprised to see David Gordon Green's name but that's clearly part of the reason for it working. Comedy is hard to pull off and given that he's still creating his Halloween trilogy, it's quite a departure.

The girls are great. They're likeable even when they're being bitchy. So many films and series today forget to create interesting likeable characters. Something the 80's and 90's excelled at, especially in its depiction of teenagers. I want to know what happens to these charismatic young people. I'm well above the target audience but we all remember the fumbly, chaotic days of early adulthood. I don't know how accurate it is to college life in America but these girls are certainly not shy about coming forward. I wish that were the case when I was young. About time too!

Hope the rest of the series holds up to this very promising start. I'll definitely be back for more.
