The hidden desires of misogynists put to light

See, I come watching this knowing what is right from wrong. As a woman, I didn't find this film degrading at all, no. It's actually more humiliating for misogynists because their deepest, darkest ideas are being exposed here. I was chuckling a bit and shaking my head a lot because to me, the misogyny shown is for us to clearly see how utterly wrong those ideas are especially when put into practice. It's a brave film for exposing the men both in the film and in real life who might have urges in controlling women in every way possible. You have to wonder how they were encultured by society to think like this. The whole PUA seminar scene was like a behavioral experiment.

One can also view this as a cautionary tale for men who do not want to become monsters and for women who tolerate these kinds of people.

The great performances of the actors - especially Jon Briddell (I was surprised how convincing he was, such a versatile actor!) make the characters feel real, and so it also reminds me of people in real life who ARE like this. I shake my head a couple of times watching how the men here rationalise themselves and was waiting for a little retribution at the end (I was given some in the form of death and grovelling at gunpoint).

Finally, I love how they DO NOT romanticise control. They show the opposite of it. They showed the evil of it, the utter wrongness of it. Films like fifty shades of grey are what poisons young minds, romanticizing toxic relationships.
