When a man is found beaten to death on the road, the CBI team is assigned to investigate the case. Soon Patrick finds that the man is the notorious lawyer of the Sinner Saints biker gang Gordon Hodge and he goes with Lisbon to interview his wife and son. Then they head to the bar where the leader of the gang Von McBride is and Patrick insinuates that there is an informer in the gang. Out of the blue, a woman lately identified as Felicia Guthrie comes and cries that they are killers. Soon the CBI team learns that Felicia's brother was killed by the gang. Further, hey also lean that Gordon was having an affair with McBride's girlfriend Constance 'Diamond' Hoyt and Gordon's wife knew the infidelity of her husband. With many suspects with motive, who might be the murderer of Gordon Hodge?
"Red Menace" is another good episode of "The Mentalist", with a story with many suspects of a murder. It is intriguing since all the suspects have motive to kill the dirty lawyer. The unexpected murderer and the way Patrick finds to have justice in the end are good twists. My vote is eight.
