Self-love isn't selfish
27 December 2021
Loved how this film took me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. It was a slow pace as they are establishing the personality of the main leads--Cara and Ino. But as the movie starts to unfold, you can clearly see the pain of the past that will be a hindrance on whatever relationship they are trying to build/rebuild again. Hope, pain, self-worth are just few of the emotions I've felt in this movie. Hope for Ino to regain back the colors in his life and for Cara to be loved by Ino. Pain of letting go of the past and accepting what the future will hold. And the most imporatant lesson for me--self-love. You can never truly love someone unless you've given that same amount of love to yourself. And if you think you've given everything and that love wasn't reciprocated, there's nothing you can really do. You just have to let go and start loving yourself.

Now, let's talk about cinematography. I love love the play of colors. How it gives meaning to the emotions you will feel in every scene. Even the clothes of Cara...you just have to really take note of small details. ANd the subtle political injections..just wow! Love is Colorblind is a heart-wrenching movie and you will definitely fall inlove with each characters in the movie. 10000/10.
