The Sect (1991)

I have no idea others don't like this

I really love this and have no idea why others don't like it so well. There are a couple of stories set up and then it becomes an amazing film. Clearly, Dario Argento has done much of the writing and I have to tell you it is very worrying and unnerving. There are wonderful sections that just go on all the time giving me a terrible feeling all the time. Especially the water dripping down the pipes and walls and then under the floor then the cellar and beyond. I have another problem when pieces of cloth get stuck over one's face and then even more when little insects get in up your nose and up into the brain and then the tiny creatures spill out. I liked Kelly Curtis, Jamie Lee Curtis' sister but more particularly liked Herbert Lom as the older sect leader he was of course already old and only did a couple more films. The horror is beautifully captivating and especially that we do not get too much of the actual sect people, which might not suit everyone.
