Review of Life Is Strange: True Colors

This game was exactly what I needed through a griefy Christmas period. The music is emotive and serves as a vehicle for the narrative itself. Each song perfectly complimenting the mood at the time. The main character, Alex is strong, slightly troubled, sensitive and highly attuned to the world around her making the game feel like more of an an empathic and explorational journey as much about understanding people and their choices as much as it is goal driven about seeking answers about her beloved brothers death. I'm not sure if it was the parallels between the protagonists story and my own that left me so deeply moved or rather the simple fact that this story is a modern gaming masterpiece in a time where many can connect with the loss of loved ones.
