Swamp Thing Animated Series (1990) is a series I recently watched with my daughter on YouTube. Finnigan Somers some time ago reminded me every episode was on there. The storyline follows a scientist whose experiment goes wrong and he's turned into Swamp Thing in Louisiana and his nemesis, Dr. Arcane who wants his powers and perceived immortality and will stop at nothing to destroy nature until he achieves it. Swamp Thing and his friends will do their best to stop Arcane and his mutants from destroying nature.

This series was directed by Chuck Patton (Spawn) and contained the voices of Len Carlson (Mighty Thor), Don Francks (Heavy Metal), Harvey Atkin (Meatballs), Gordon Masten (The Santa Clause) and Jonathan Potts (The Strain).

I loved how the theme song was a spin on "Wild Thing" they turned into "Swamp Thing." The animation was awesome when combined with the various swamp and jungle settings. The "Unmen" mutants were creative and a nice touch as was how Arcane evolved as the series progressed. The vehicles were cool for both the good and bad guys. The only bad part of the series was that it was only 5 episodes.

This is a cool series that has a He-Man/Thundercats feel to it in a lot of ways. I would score this an 8.5/10 and strongly recommend it.
