The girl is sleeping in the prince's residence. He is elated to see her. He has guards in front of the entrance so she remains safe in his place. He wonders what she will think of him when she finds out what he did to her father and brother. The lord tells the prince that one of his concubines died from illness. Nothing to fret about because she was a mere concubine.
