Coulda Been a Contender!

Loved seasons 1, 2 and 3. Season 4 felt like different writers got involved. Season 5 had a theme change, and season 6 was okay, less spark. Loved the cast of characters too. Felt like they worked extra hard to hold up this sagging show. Made me wonder about Mary Albright's (Jane Curtain) character: why would an intelligent character tolerate Dick Soloman's Shenanigans for so long? Also made me analyze Nina's (Simba Khali) character and the boundary-crossing biases towards her. Considering the attitudes towards the lgbtq+ community, and everyone ever marginalized, were very backwards and outdated. I could count the racially-diverse characters on one hand. It was fun while it lasted though. It should've ended at season 3 or gotten better. Still, I'd watch it again and again.
