If you relate to the title of this episode and see hustler Steve (Andrew Ray) unexpectedly get shot at the end of the story, you figure he's the one falling victim to an accidental death. But they don't call this Tales of the Unexpected for nothing, because as Steve hangs on for dear life, it's only a transfusion of rare blood that has a chance of saving him. So who has the rare blood type? The guy that Steve and co-conspirator Jane (Lynsey Baxter) were attempting to rob when he inadvertently showed up before they could make a getaway. And to add injury to insult, as Percy Hampton fired his misguided weapon, he slipped on a banana peel, and struck his head causing his own demise. So ultimately, what you had was two accidental deaths for the price of one!
