Loved the Series, but hated the acting from the main character Iain Armitage who plays Sheldon Cooper. I think he's a terrible child actor & too stiff, or, he was wrongly cast for this role. By contrast, I thought that Raegan Revord who plays 'Missy Cooper', Sheldon's Twin Sister is a much better child actress & well suited for the role.
Considering that this is a 'spin-off' series that is 'set as a prequel' to the comedy series Big Bang Theory - ie: Big Bang Theory came first & then they decided to give us an incite into the character Sheldon Cooper's childhood. As A Big Bang Theory fan, for me there's a lot of miss-matched characters or wrongly cast actors in the Young Sheldon series. However, it is funny in places & seems to have been more successful on its own merits rather than a prequel. Also, in comparison to other spin-off series in any genre, Young Sheldon seems to have very good financial backers, promoters etc, which further adds to its success - but not for me. I woulda just preferred a 'better cast' or 'better casting'.
