Warning: Spoilers
For five friends, visiting the murder site of the Redwood House has all the hallmarks of being an exciting weekend away.

A popular site, each year, on the exact date of the famous local family massacre, people head out to the site to have fun and scare each other.

Events take a turn for the worse when the innocent campers discover the Redwood legend is in fact a reality, which turns the unsuspecting victims into prey for an axe wielding maniac that has remained dormant for 20 years......

Apart from the terrible acting from the majority of the cast, and some truly awful sound design, the main problem with this film is it's reliance on other better horror movies.

Firstly, the killer is based on Leatherface, from his gait to the way he closes a door, you yearn for that classic, rather than waiting for this behemoth to kill the group, and i promise, you will have an air of satisfaction when he finally begins his purge.

Secondly, some genius decided to include a variation on Ki Ki Ki, Ma Ma Ma, from Friday the 13th, and again, you are yearning for Jason to pass by, and give the killer a few tips.

Another problem is the group of friends. They are unlikable, one very deplorable, and at times you are egging the cast on to tell her to shut up, or give her a healthy slap across the face.

Even at it's very slim running time, it's an ordeal to get through, the legend of the place is pretty hilarious, and one wonders just how long a particular side character has been hanging around for.

I'm a huge horror fan, particularly slasher movies, but this was very difficult to finish, even when its being unintentionally hilarious.
