I won't get too much into the plot of Scream (2022), but I feel like I must vent a bit of my frustrations. This film insists so much on returning to the beginning of it all and even has its climax in a very well known location, from the original film. I feel like the filmmakers missed out on the opportunity to bring back Stu as the killer. Since the events of the original Scream, we don't know what happened to him. How cool would it be to bring him back and connect the past with the present? Instead we're left with another generic sequel, with generic copycat killers.
