All the checkboxes of inian/pakistani filmfanatics, and even adresses itself towards every bollywood lover in the world, the film is long and filled with the archtypical theatrical drama, and large dance setups, that will seem dodgy and saggy for the common hollywood thriller audience.

Its a film of many languages, cc's is a must, and my view had some terrible english one, but it worked.also its a film thats mainly filmed in england, most outdoor shoots in kidderminster area. They have either waited for or have been unbelievably fortunate with the weather, a stashed up wedding as the one in this film , would definately not have become much white...

its a film that reflects some of the inheritence of the british colonial era, where race and nationality has made the british society pretty fruitful. This film handles the more pittyful sideeffects, namely mingling different religions, language, rites and culture, where pride and honour becomes a lethal part of life.couple that with the word gangsters and youll have a war going till last man sucumbs due to an eye for an eye...

productionwise it tastes like godfather filmstyle gone bollied over the fire into a nice oriental stew of curry and rice. Acting aint overwhelming, but has style and beauty.action scenes do need more rehersal, especially the driving scene filmos. The switches between mondane tragedy to flaming out action may strike a weak heart at worst. So it works like a steep roller coaster, ripped apart and glued together into deep dives by an adament editor gone mumbayan milord.

So should you see this flick, yes thinks the grumpy old man, the use of english surroundings are interesting, and for a novice like me to subcontinental asian filmindustry it was good enough.
