Finally, an action-filled episode. I almost feel bad for Jamie at this point. He's fallen off grace so much since season 1 and the image of a villain that he established in the pilot of season 1 is becoming faint. I love the bond that is developing between Brienne and Jamie. That should result in something. This is another example of great character building - that no character is black and white in terms of good and evil. Most people are a mix of the two. I also appreciate Varys. He's a sort of character that needs lots of attention to write because his dialogues are everything. He plays a central role in many of the schemes that are being played in King's Landing. We are given more history into his background, which is fascinating and trauma-laden.

This is also the first time we see Theon regret his choice. I feel bad for him because things are not going well for him and I could see that he's not necessarily a bad person - just a person who wanted to feel like they belonged somewhere.

Night's Watch scene was intense. Hunger can drive men crazy. Now that the Watch is in shambles with the commander also dead, Westeros is left defenseless against the creeping White Walkers.

Daenerys is SO likeable. She is strong and assertive and she is literally queen material. I can't stop fanboying for her. I knew that she knew what the merchant was saying the whole time and I also expected him to die for badmouthing her. But I really appreciate her patience until the end. So satisfying.

Brilliant episode. Best episode out of S3 so far.
