5/10
Didn't even finish it

I watched this right after the surprisingly good Assualt On Arkham, hoping this would be a spiritual sequel. But unlike the unique heist movie style and cool animation of AOA, what I got was another one of the new 52 inspired generic DC animated movies.

Basically having the slower pacing and feel reminiscent of the Bruce Timm DCAU shows except missing the brilliant writing, direction, and action sequences those shows were known for (and with a less unique art direction). This screamed extended episode of a mediocre super hero show than movie.

Oh but they do try to compensate with making it "adult" with gratuitous blood and sexual aspects (which I'm no prude, I love when it's done well and fits the vibe but not just shoved in to make it edgy). Because that's how you know this isn't for kids but for us adults!

I miss when DC would try to make each movie unique instead of trying to mimic the MCU shared universe homogenous style in animated form.
