Well, "The Batman" is not a ten, but I will give it a nine because it excels in so many ways. Pattinson makes a good Batman and a good Bruce Wayne. Zoe Kravitz is the best Catwoman yet: she's gorgeous, she's independent, she's tough, she's smart, and she has a good heart. The new Penguin is excellent. We never get a really good look at it, but the Batmobile is super-tough. Batman rides the bat-bike a lot, which is in keeping with his character. Even Bruce Wayne's car is really cool.
I guess Batman movies now must always be set in dark gothic dystopias. It is a bit hard to see but the mix between retro gloom and modern technology works very well. I like that Batman carries the Batarang on his chest. The climax is a bit confused and poorly edited. Other than that, I am very satisfied and I hope we will be seeing more of all of the cast.
