The cliffhanger from the end of episode 2 got fastly resolved to get the story going where it was intended to go by Q:
Back in time, back to the 21st century, back to our present time.
Star Trek Picard gets its own Star Trek IV-setting as a Start Trek IV 2.0, only in a tv show format, not a single movie.
Good camera work and high production values.
It's grimmer, no humor, although it still has nearly the same themes as in the 80s: polution, tolerance, foreigners in a country.
The action is fast-paced, the Borg Queen spices up the whole episode, thrills and delivers some really good scenes. The scenes on the Star Gazeer are more interessting than the ones on Earth.
The mission is still a mystery, but: The team on present time Earth gets as filler and predictable dillemas two story arcs/sub plots beside their mission to fill the episodes.
Of course, some plans won't work out at first, predictable tropes.
We'll see what happens. I'm hooked and waiting for the next episode.
Recommended, if you like the time travel setting.
