Everyone, remember where we parked!

True Star Trek has always worked through allegory and metaphor careening down the rails of familiar narrative. In this third episode we are holding on to simple identifiers that come together in a complex entanglement while setting the stage for dissecting personalities and the multidimensional prisms that those optics may reveal. Raffi and Seven search for direction while Jurati, the synthetic life expert, searches into a hive mind for answers. Rios is thrown into the most direct involvement, too direct, with the 21st century while Picard is beginning to feel spread too thin if not out of his depth.

There is almost constant action, but the whole episode is just setting up the stage for what is to come. It's the fastest 47 minutes in the series so far. At the first end-credit you might yell No! No! Not yet, please! The Borg Queen hears you, but so does Agnes. They might both deliver in the next episode. Dynamics are changing. I'm very interested to see how the series will define the characters that will result from these changes.
