Warning: Spoilers
After Tommy has been making out with a schoolmate named Dina (Marla Sokoloff), he catches a bug that then spreads among the whole Solomon family. Now, the aliens, not having experienced an Earth illness before, mistakenly think they're dying. And this happens just before Dick enthusiastically volunteers to be Mary's date for a wedding. The real hilarity ensues when Dick downs an entire bottle of cough syrup, and *really* acts up during the ceremony.

This often very funny episode continues to build on the promise of the pilot, with the Solomons still adjusting to the idiosyncrasies of human life. Sally finds it odd that in her current guise, she is now compelled to nurture the other family members. (She makes a big vat of chicken soup, into which Harry promptly sinks his feet.) And speaking of Harry, he has an amusing dream in which Martha Stewart figures prominently. Even incidental moments, such as Dick offering comment on the works of Stephen Hawking and Charles Dickens, are good for chuckles.

The absolute highlight is when Dick and Mary dance at the wedding. Suffice it to say, Lithgow steals the entire show. Sick as he is, he is in danger of blowing the entire alien mission. It's fortunate for him that Mary doesn't take his rantings that seriously. It's also endearing that she finds him appealing, even in light of all of his wacky behavior that she interprets as mere eccentricity.

One of the most hilarious bits: Sally and Harry appearing to be turned on (!) when they experience their first sneezes. "Was it as good for you as it was for me?"
