DISNEY supports torture... great
5 April 2022
Disney of all possible producers is telling us that that torture can be justified. It cannot. Ever. In any circumstances. Becket declares that the person is under arrest and then allows Castle to torture him at his own leisure. That's not only a direct violation of at least a hundred different laws and operaitonal instruction of the NYPD, but also violates quite a few Geneva Convention articles. But the worst of it is that NYPD, already well-known for its disregard of human life and dignity, suddenly got a huge inspiraiton for their investigative methods. Thanks, Disney.

Torture is disgusting. In any form. Used on anyone. And you don't "become just like the bad guys" when you use it. Oh no, you are MUCH worse than them. Because you break the law under the welcoming wing of your own police badge or military mandate. NOTHING can be worse.

And before anyone asks what I would do in this situation, I can tell you I don't know. But I hope my friends in law enforecement (if I ever stoop down to have any) will be worried enough about their pensions to keep me far away from a situation when I can become a monster.
