There are some cheap shark effects, so that's a given but don't let that detract from the other elements of the film. For something low budget it was shot and edited well and the sound was good. The story is fleshed out quite well with the marine biologist and some other incidental characters. All in all it's a totally watchable movie, that I doubt I could do better than for the budget.
