Seasons 1-3 were fantastic, well written, and utterly engaging. Season 4 was good and certainly worth watching as it does provide an end to the story.
What I most appreciated about the story was the complexity of many of the characters. In particular, John Smith and Chief Inspector Kido were both responsible for unquestionably evil acts and yet there were aspects of both that you couldn't help but empathize with.
