Has its moments , but mostly ordinary!

The topic of this film has been explored N number of times in Bollywood so its high time they move on to a newer social topic. I really admire Bollywood making films on social topics as Compared to South who spoonfeed those over the top trash masalas which only promote negativity and violence with nothing to learn. But Bollywood must know, some topics are already explored and need no further explanation. Jayeshbhai is exactly that problem.

This film definitely has its moments but they are few and far apart. Humor barely works . You see a film like Mimi, another terrific film from Bollywood that got immense love solely because surrogacy was a new topic brought in Bollywood and at the same time, it was humorous. Not in case of JJ.

Mostly the film failed to hold on to my attention for most parts as it was bland and boring with nothing worth mentioning. Only in the latter half of the 2nd half we get to see some good moments which is why I give it stars.

Performances are something to talk about. Ranveer is the most versatile actor in bollywood now and ya he is not any product of nepotism. He does his part brilliantly. His on screen daughter is the star of the film with her electrifying performance. Shalini Pandey has limited role. Boman Irani also excels in his part. Rest all have done a great job.

Overall, I doubt whether this is a theatre watch. This film could better be made as a skit or released directly on OTT. No songs that are good and history tells songs do 50% of the promotion job which in this case did not happen. Should excel on OTT.
