The tenth episode of Violet Evergarden might just be one of those things that are guaranteed to make you cry. I certainly did.
But emotional response aside, this is simply a flawless episode. The storyboard is fantastic, the direction excellent, the dialogues superb. It ties extremely well into the overarching plot and comes at the perfect time within the context of the series.
I'd hesitate to call this one of my favourite TV episodes ever because my preferred genre is simply a very different one, but no one can deny that this couldn't have been executed any better. Truly marvellous.
