Watched Crashing because I think Fleabag is a perfect series, and wanted to check out any of Phoebe Waller-Bridge's work.
My main problem with this show is that I hate every character. I don't think they're all bad people, I just hate the people they are. I have a similar problem with Shameless, although the group dynamic as a whole in that show is more endearing.
Another issue is that from the start, this weirdo with a ukelele shows up and it's made clear to the audience that Lulu and Anthony are in love. Any pacing for the development of this relationship doesn't really exist, it's just a short 'will they/won't they?' that ends with a conclusion but still not a satisfying one.
But yeah... these characters aren't just ones you love to hate, they're just awful.
