Some people gave this film a poor rating BUT it is a really good film if you look deeper. It tells the black experience of attempting to assimilate and the consequences that took place in response to those sacrifices. Whoopi Goldberg and Danny Glover as well as the rest of the cast play the rolls masterfully. Pay attention and you juat might learn something about the struggle.
