First off, my rating of this episode would be 9/10 (still awesome!!) but I'm trying to help balance out the score from all of the idiotic review bombing that happened BEFORE THE SHOW EVEN PREMIERED (more on that in a bit)...
Anyways wow! The first episode of Ms. Marvel is an absolute blast! I expected this show to be pretty good but not as amazing as some marvel projects but, if the first episode is anything to go off of, Ms. Marvel is gonna be a top-tier MCU project. No joke. Iman Vellani knocked it out of the park, and her quick and realistic delivery of lines and emotion is some of the best acting I've ever seen for a first-time actor. She's really charming and surely has a long career ahead of her.
Frankly, the whole cast did a fantastic job with their roles, and I can't wait to watch their relationships with Kamala continue over the season. The Into The Spiderverse-esque visuals are a perfect touch and the VFX for Kamala's powers are super satisfying. I don't really have any complaints yet, as this premiere did everything that a premiere should do, so yeah! Absolutely recommend this show whether you're a Marvel fan or not!
Now, the trolls. It is incredibly sad to me that some people really have nothing better to do than post review bombs before they even see the show just because the show looks 'kiddy' or because it's not a white girl starring. That's sickening to me. I'm not talking about low reviews from people who watched the show and didn't like it. That's fine, you're entitled to your own opinion. I'm talking about the people that posted reviews on this website and Rotten Tomatoes before the show even came out to blast it just for the beforementioned reasons. Please grow up. Just because you're not in the target audience doesn't mean you have to bash the show. An 80-year-old man isn't going to enjoy an episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, but that doesn't mean he's going to leave a hateful review online about it, does it? Hell, tons of people outside of the target audience are still enjoying this show so please get a hold on yourselves trolls. At least the 95% critics score (2nd highest for an MCU project ever) can't be affected by whiny trolls.
