Review of Sven Hoek

In the episode, Ren waits for his cousin to come back and have an intellectual conversation with Sven. But later it turns out that Sven isn't smart in the slightest. Yet Stimpy found himself a new friend, with whom he hangs up with.

I really liked this episode. First of all, it has a creative use of gross out humour. Like where Sven shows Stimpy his collection of boogers. I especially laughed hard at the deleted scene where both Stimpy and Sven were hiding and pretending to be in a circus. Not only that, but around the end it has an intense scene where Ren gets angry at his friend and cousin and threatens to do bad stuff with them. I admit, it's pretty disturbing but well excuted. And it's all thanks to the highly detailed animation. The way that it shows expressions of each character and details of gross things makes this cartoon stand out from the rest.

Lastly the story itself is great too. We are introduced to Ren's cousin who's somehow closer to Stimpy personality wise. And it was funny to see what sort of things Stimpy and Sven were trying to do when Ren was at work.

It's one of the funniest episodes of Ren and Stimpy, and definitely a must watch for the fans of the show and Nickelodeon.
