The formula is simple; sassy stripper and uptight religious nut get trapped together in a crisis and have to figure out how to work together to escape.
I'm not sure if this should be billed as a horror-comedy or not. The premise and situations and dialogue certainly make it seem like that's what they were going for. The problem is, it wasn't very funny. Maybe they shoulda switched the leads so the religious chick was the sassy one. Or just make them both sassy, with humorous banter and quips. Alas, we didn't get that here.
The first act in the peep show kinda drags, with really only one or two exciting moments. So its lite on action too.
In the second act in the tunnels we learn a little more about our characters. +1 to drama.
When we get around to the finale, our villain is a demon.. or alien.. or evil god.. its not clear. But apparently can be killed with conventional weapons like a crowbar, so... not that powerful..? Threat-level = 2
There's a twist in the end, that i didn't quite get. There's a bunch of people in similar tunnel-mazes as our heroines, in a network of mazes that stretches as far as you can see. So did they escape? Did they get out only to find themselves trapped again? Who knows? Who cares, really? Not me, not so much.
5/10 could've been worse, but wouldn't watch again.
Also, the stripper 'reveals' that she is raising her nephew since his parents are deadbeats. She claims he's 12, but when we hear his voice he sounds 5 or 6. Annoying.
Also also, for a movie titled "Revealer" that features a stripper as the lead, there's nothing 'revealing' about this one. Not.one.single.boobie. Thumbs down 👎🏻
