Technically, "Oh! Heavenly Dog" is quite an achievement: it manages to tell a complete story on the screen from a dog's perspective (Benji is an amazing actor). But the mystery plot itself is no great shakes (the most sinister character from the start turns out to be the guilty party), and the laugh quotient is pretty light, as well. Jane Seymour is lovely; the music score (with contributions from Elton John!) is corny. **1/2 out of 4.
