Adults & Kids Can Enjoy
16 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I saw Paws of Fury:The Legend of Hank, starring the voices of Michael Cera-Arrested Development_tv, Juno; Samuel L. Jackson-Shaft_2019, RoboCop_2014; Ricky Gervais-the Night at the Museum movies, Stardust and Mel Brooks-Spaceballs, Blazing Saddles.

This is a funny animated adventure that both adults and kids can enjoy. There are lots of references to other movies-probably because Mel Brooks wrote the screenplay-such as Blazing Saddles and West Side Story. In this story, cats are the dominate rulers with dogs being considered as lower life forms. There is a sign at the entrance to town that says No Dogs Allowed. Mel is the Shogun of the area with Ricky being his subservient lackey that wants to impress him by wiping out a local village he considers an eyesore. Michael voices a dog that wants to become a samurai and he wants Samuel to be his teacher. Samuel is semi_retired and drinks a lot so the town needs a new samurai. The humor is very funny-I think I mentioned Mel Brooks wrote the screenplay-and there is a scene after the end credits so don't leave too soon.

It's rated PG for action, violence, rude humor and language and has a running time of 1 hour & 37 minutes.

I enjoyed it and laughed a lot and I would buy it on DVD.
