'SHAMSHERA'
The obvious, overt anti-Hindu characters and narrative is still acceptable as a story; as the thought process of a central character it is still fine! But the problem of this film lies with the sensibilities of the makers.
Surely it is a perfectly, decently made film with somewhat less than perfect VFX and everything; it is the 'sensibility' and the 'presentation' of the characters and their motivations that are just weak and weird.
The preparation of the meal being served is wonderful, hygienic, fresh but it is the weird combination of the ingredients!
We as filmmakers need to work on our "aesthetics" of our perceptions of our sensibilities in our story telling.
With the exception of some really nice cinematography; it is sadly a very bad film. So disappointing.

Also btw this is the first pre-Independence period film where the colonializing British are shown as the good guys and the victims; the sole baddy is a an 'upper caste Hindu'!
