First of all Katie's compassion is put out there with great elan when that poor guy, Washington, is found dead. He had been acquitted of a past rape charge. Then things turn to Mare Winningham who uses the courts to justify killing a man who got away with murdering her daughter. She uses the same defense, insanity, as the murderer. Except for Denny's usually demeaning actions, it was a very good episode. Boy Shatner gets a lot of screen time.
