As much as the writers get the credit, Dennis Farina was the mailman in this episode and Jesse L. Martin is always good. These two made great partners on-screen. I know some reviews mentioned Fontana's flashy nature but this character is as hard-nosed as they come. He doesn't let anyone get away with anything. In replacing Lennie Briscoe, they had to do something different with a veteran male detective. There was never anything flashy about Briscoe. Anyway, I loved Fontana and Green's pursuit of not only those responsible for the stash house massacre but what led to it - an international heroin ring. It was a bit of a stretch that multiple prep school students who had never done heroin would be more than willing to try it. This episode aired over 18 years ago and overdose deaths today are all too common but what we see and hear in the news is not teenagers who had never taken drugs before, it's drug addicts going to far.
