Darlings (I) (2022)
9/10
Draping the evil

Warning: Spoilers
At a time when Bollywood is going through a slump this movie, story, and acting is a wave of fresh air.

First of all, the story was really really good. Kudos to the writers. It was gripping and although the trailer revealed the plot a little bit, the movie had a lot more to offer. As the movie progress, it gets darker and darker but at the same time maintains a comic touch to it. The cause of domestic violence can be shown in a non-serious but impactful way, was unknown to me at least.

Coming to the acting part, Alia Bhatt was brilliant as always and Shefali Shah was good too but it was Vijay Verma who stole the show. He was simultaneously playing more than 2 roles and acing all of those.

Overall it's a good watch and it stuns me to see the ratings so low on this one.
